I contend that Fraction's invite came with little warning and not enough time to clean or to make more messy - they was what they was. Not a judgement, just an observation. However, K.S., you've seen my home space so you know that it's not hard to imagine it being fairly organized in most instances. Even during "production" it gets a wipe down at the end of the day.
