30 Days of Night: Eben & Stella #2 Out Today

I wish there was a way to link directly to the Midtown Comics purchase page for this issue, but their java pop-ups make that impossible.

I suspect they’re missing out on a few sales this way. Oh, well.

All of today’s releases are here.

Mwah!

Back from Seattle and Portland where we had an AMAZING time. Seriously: I am madly in love with the people of the Pacific Northwest including and especially Mel Tomlin, on whom I have a big ole girl crush. I’ll post more about it when I’m all caught up.

Until then, go check this out: Michael May interviewed me here for the Blog@Newsarama. (Thanks, May!)

Also? Today’s my Pop’s birthday. Happy birthday, Pop. I love you.

EDITED TO ADD: But wait, there’s more!

Pregnancy Tips from Pregnancy Weekly

Hi Kelly Sue,

If you don’t feel as attractive or fashionable as you’d like during your pregnancy, here are some ways to help make you feel like the beautiful mom-to-be you are:

One word: cleavage. Pregnancy provides the best opportunity you’ll ever have to flaunt your increased cleavage, so try wearing scoop-neck t-shirts or sweaters.

Try synthetic materials. Wear pants made of synthetic materials that stretch to fit your new curves.

Think a little tighter. Over-sized, baggy clothes create a bulky look. For a sexier style that slims your silhouette and emphasizes your features that aren’t expanding, wear snug-sleeved tops, skinnier pants, and knits that stretch to fit your form. These are both sexy and feminine.

Dark Colors. Dark colors are slimming, so choose pants, skirts, and dresses in classic hues such as black, brown, navy, wine, forest green, and dark gray.

Stripes. Avoid horizontal stripes, which will make you look wider than you really are.

Yesterday I bought a long tight t-shirt that’s entirely blue and white horizontal stripes.  Here’s hoping some rules are made to be broken.

(Weird pregnancy things:

  • My psoriasis?  The blotches of red painful skin I’ve had behind my ears and on my forehead since puberty?  GONE.
  • The hair on my legs has virtually stopped growing.  I shave my legs once a week… maybe.
  • At the same time, the hair on my head is thicker than it’s ever been.
  • …And a dark brunette, alas.  I had to give up the red for a while.  Too time-consuming to maintain.
  • Leg cramps suck.  Oh, and I got a weird thing in my hand last night — one of the muscles in my palm just spontaneously tightened up and I couldn’t get it to relax.  Bizarre.  Fraction says, “Girl bodies are weeeeeeird.”  He’s right.)
