Help: Cradle Bedding
Problem:
My father made the baby a beautiful cherry cradle — okay, that’s not a problem, that’s a lovely, lovely gesture. We put the cradle in Fraction’s office, also not a problem — we’d been thinking about getting a Moses basket or something for in there anyway.
The problem is that I can’t figure out how/where to buy bedding for it. The bottom of the cradle is 31 3/4″ long and 11 1/4″ wide. I can’t seem to find a mattress or pad that small. Any suggestions?

in my web-fu i can not find any cradle bedding that would fit your cradle.
All we can think of is that maybe you could use a changing table pad? That could still be too wide though…

They seem bit costy ($25 for one sheet – but you only need fitted sheets, so… ), and the mattresses come only in full inch increments, but maybe 11″ x 32″ would work?
This may be of NO help at all, but my Dad did a similar thing for my sis (a changing table) and I was able to make a cushion for it with foam cut to size and then sewn into a cover I made from proper quilted bed covering cloth. It took about two hours after all materials were gathered.
One trip to the plastics supply store and then to Joann’s for the quilting. An upholstery shop can also make one.

Send this info to Warner. He made a pad for the bassinett that he and I and my boys slept in. He would probably be willing to make it and send it.
